In 1974, the Local Government Economic Services, Ltd. was established by the Union of Local Authorities together with the Regional Council Center, and has since become an important and influential institution in Israel.
The company aims to deliver local authorities with a range of services to meet their complex operational needs, while ensuring performance efficiency, shorter project timelines and reduced costs. Drawing on broad experience across every field of municipal operations, the company provides economic and financial services for approximately 255 local government authorities in Israel:

In addition to first-hand familiarity with municipal projects and expertise in Streamlining the performance of public projects, a key advantage of working with LGES is the company’s extensive experience in tendering. LGES was granted an exemption by the Ministry of the Interior to communicate with winning bidders on behalf of local authorities, according to section 9 of the Local Authorities Law (Joint Tenders) 1972. LGES’ tendering services are based on the professional knowledge and experience gained in over three decades of tender management.
